Cityzer is an internet platform where everyone can upload their videos with impressions from different European cities. The platform aims to show the cultural diversity of Europe and to trigger a discussion among its users about Europe, around a variety of topics such as food, street art, music, language etc. Through this platform, users receive authentic local voices from different European cities and experience the way people think about and deal with their European day-to-day life – be it the reflections of a Turkish shop owner in Kreuzberg (Berlin) on German identity, musical impressions from a tram in Kosice, European Capital of Culture 2013, in the context of the festival “Use the city”, or political activists in Athens, who do political graffiti and share their thoughts on democracy and the power of public media to which they want to create a balance by their work.
