I want Europe
The Committed Europeans, a group of eleven foundations, launched the "Ich will Europa" ("I want Europe") initiative in Berlin in 2012. The project aims to get ordinary citizens from across Europe to provide their personal reasons for why they want Europe. These statements can be seen in advertisements and on the Internet. The campaign generates publicity and gives weight to every single voice. At the same time, it also creates a community on the Internet that is committed to Europe and joins in on the debate about Europe with their statements. This project is suitable for getting every city – and every citizen – to participate and invites committed citizens to network at the local level. The initiative, under the patronage of Federal President Joachim Gauck, is made possible by Stiftung Mercator and Robert Bosch Stiftung. It is supported by German media companies.
