transeuropa e.V. / transeuropa - European Festival for Performative Art

As a collegiate festival transeuropa - European Festival for Performative Arts provides many possibilities for young artists on the verge of becoming professionals: to present themselves to an interested audience, to network and organise in order to outline perspectives for a future European art and cultural scene. transeuropa fluid was the festival's ninth edition. It consisted of a 4-day-program of performances, installations, media art, parties, concerts, lectures and mediation-formats and took place in Hildesheim, Germany from the 24th to the 27th of May 2018. The main artistic program of the festival has been produced by artists in residence only. Working collaboratively since the beginning of April, the 17 residents created one consistent performance that was presented over the four days of the festival.Multiple art projects which rooted in the joint work during the transeuropa residency were developed further in other contexts as well as collaborations between different participants of the transeuropa fluid. Therefore the transeuropa matched its goal to sustainably support and serve as a springboard for the careers of young european artists as well as to connect people from different artistic and cultural backgrounds.
